Who's better: Lebron or Kobe?
I've lived close to Cleveland for a long time and have been an NBA fan for a long time too, and before this year, I was skeptical about Lebron - but I think he has matured into possibly the best NBA player of all time. What do you think? (I vote for Lebron over Kobe.)

Thanked: 953LeBron is better than Kobe. All time caliber D, passing, play making.
Not best of all time. Has to hit a jumpshot before that conversation starts. No where near Magic or MJ. Probably not as good as guys like Bill Russell but that's apples to oranges.
It's be easier to compare him to the other all time greats if he gets a supporting cast.

Both are exceptionally talented players no doubt, but if I had to choose I'd go with Kobe over Lebron. Kobe is much more knowledgeable of the game and has a killer instinct about him. Lebron is much bigger and stronger than Kobe, but I don't see the fire in him like I see in Kobe. In the clutch, I think there are none better than Kobe. If my team was down by two points with 10 seconds left, I'd rather have Kobe on my roster. Although I consider Kobe to be better than Lebron, I would actually prefer to have Lebron on my roster--he is a teamplayer and it takes teamwork to win Championships.

Last year I wouldn't have entertained the discussion at all, but Lebron is closing the gap. Kobe is still better IMO, but Lebron could turn out to be better in the long run.
-Kobe is still better at getting to the basket
-Kobe is a better defender(getting closer to call)
-Kobe is a better jump shooter
-Lebron is a better ball distributor
-Lebron is a physically superior specimen
As soon as Lebron can prove he can be counted on to make game winning shots when it counts, this will be a lot closer of a race. Kobe has a longer track record and more experience. It will be interesting over the next few years to see them both continue to develop.
Go pistons!

They displayed a stat tonight . . .
. . . in all home games this season, Lebron had an average total of 48 points, assists and rebounds per game while Kobe had only 45! GO CAVS -- avenge the Indians loss to the BoSox in Beantown!!

Thanked: 4I had to vote Kobe, even though I can't stand the guy. His skills speak for themselves.
