Default A Tip or My Wife is Smart

If you'll stuff a used anti-static cling sheet into the roll (between the tp holder and the cardboard), it will provide just the right amount of friction to allow the roll to turn without continuing to spin when you yank a sheet from the roll.

    I think it's genius

Toward the wall. It's easier to rip, and since I don't **** on my walls, I'm not worried

A word that is bandied about a bit too often these days...

    Sorry Lee, couldn't resist.

BTW- I am just happy if swmbo remembers to refill the holder let alone which way the stuff faces. Nothing like finding yourself in "condition 0" and then noticing the TP situation is defcon 1.

Toward the wall. That's the American Way.

I had my own moment of genius. I realised that thousands of marriages could be saved if the toilet seat operated like the lid on a pedal bin. Man goes in, stands on the pedal, does his business then when he leaves the seat lowers, maybe with a nicely damped motion. (No, not THAT kind of damped!)

Needless to say, I found the Japanese had beaten me to it.
