Thread: YAY for our mods!

I've gotta say, we've been getting bigger quite quickly as of late. thanks to Lynn's publicity and many recent articles about straights.

That also means we've been getting hit more and more with spammers and one off users to comment on a single thread let alone the usual reports of duplicate posts and changes to thread titles.

I've been greatly surprised by the quick action of the Mods in this forum to all of those threats... I reported a dupe post of mine the other night and it was gone right quick! Then I saw a one off post on a thread that by the time I went to report was gone! As for spammers... I've had 2 encounters in over 5 months... that's not bad. and both of those were dealt with faster than I would have expected if they were the only two on most forums.

I guess what I'm saying is thanks to the mods out there who keep this the haven that it is, and the people of this forum that make it a fun place to be.

Yeah I just spotted a troll about 5mins ago, guess you must have seen it too. Made 14 posts in a matter of minutes, all just nothing about anything.

Thanks to Bruno that was fixed quick smart.

I had seen every now and then, someone spamming us with porn. I usually hit the report button in this situation.

If you use the report button, we all get an email. Then we race to see who gets to it fastest..

I will keep that in mind next time. The troll happened to post in a thread that Bruno had just made, so I knew he would get the PM right away, otherwise I probably would have hit alert button.

also the fact that most of the members here are a great bunch of people, Who for the most part act as responsible adults really make our jobs easy. I want to thank all the members on SRP who really make this place the great site it is.

Yes - a huge thanks to all our mods - I've had zero problems with the way the board is run, maintained, etc. It's been a sincere pleasure to join your group and to feel so welcomed, right from the start - The mods set the tone, which is great.
