The sharpened bones of "green peacers"!

after they have picked the bones clean of all the meat, some of which they eat fresh, and the rest they make into jerky, they dry the bones in a special manner which allows for better edge retention!

"Thought never to have had any contact with the outside world, everything about these people is, and hopefully will remain, a mystery." - If the author hopes they remain a mystery, why write up an article about them that is to be published?

Anyway, they shave their heads with a sharpened propeller from the last plane they shot down

Well traditionally they plucked or burned. But then on my last visit I suggested straights. So now they use Bengalls, C & E Sienna (didn't like Nomad for some reason), EJ Silvertips, and a couple of mushroom strops we whipped up. I tried to get them to use some Bay Rum AS, but they said it reminded them of the Conquistadors, so we finally settled on Old Spice.

They agreed to pose for those photos to get some money to put a bid in on an Escher or two, or perhaps a natural Japanese (couldn't convince them to try the Shapton glass series - they can be rather parochial and narrow minded at times).

    James.
