You have to ask the guy- was the $18 worth the $50,000 bail and free nights in jail? Freakin' idiot... Honestly, I'd love to sit in on that hearing. I hope the judge rips him several new ones.

Thats pretty damn low. 50k bond for a 17.50 theft, the guy deserves it. What could be more American than a kid selling lemonade, what could be less American than this stupid putz and his petty theft and desecration of an American ideal.

No kidding. At least the girl had the wherewithall to call the cops. Of course, she probably had a cell phone on her anyway. Back in my lemonade stand days I probably would've cried and run home.

Yeah, thats what I liked about the story! The young lady had the balls to chase him down and then call the cops! She is growing up to be a fine Lady!
