You have to survive long enough to be able to procreate, and the longer you can survive, the more chances you will have to procreate.
Survival is first and foremost, followed immediately by procreation. (as far as bare necessities go for sustaining the species)Last edited by Russel Baldridge; 06-23-2008 at 04:50 AM.

I voted survival but not from the point of view of sex versus food. Rather struggling to survive if your life was on the line versus sexual desire.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

I fail to see how they arent bothone and the same?
You cannot live longer by having sex more often. You can however continue your gene line if you have sex more. But thats called procreation. I can survive without sex (but dont tell my wife) but I cannot continue my gene line without procreating. If sex was needed for survival and not procreation, we'd all be using protection all the time.
