Thanked: 43Firefox 3
Firefox 3 is there...
If you're still using Internet Explorer, you really need to try this out!
Firefox makes browsing so much more pleasant and efficient in combination with some of the available add-ons. Really recommended

Firefox just works!
I like that firefox just works. I also like that we now have a choice to IE after Netscape Navigators' demise.

I like FF3, but I don't like one thing that it does. If you're typing in a box (say in a forum), then scroll down to look at something, then scroll back, you can't just start typing. You have to click back in the box before you can type anything. It drives me nuts!!!

I just tested that using the Quick Reply: I typed into the the Quick Reply box and then scrolled up and down with the mouse wheel, still could type in the box. I then scrolled up and down using the mouse on the scroll bar, and could still type in the box without having to click back in the box. Something is different I would guess between our setups, but what you're saying doesn't work, works great for me. (Windows XP with Firefox 3 and Logitech VX Mouse.)

I didn't realize I was using FF3. It seems to be working nicely for me. Although it isn't as fast a IE for me on my Winders machine,

BT, I'm using a Mac. Just a tad different
I'll have to try it on my Windows machine and see if it does the same thing. I'm just always on the mac if I'm surfing.

Thanked: 22I've been using FF for 3yrs now and never looked back. I have found though using FF3, if you have several tabs open and you know click between them and stuff, the damn page automatically refreshes, and that's a real PITA. Also if your looking on a page and click the back button, it goes back but also refreshes. That's the only gripe I have with it.
Oh I found FF to be completely unstable on Ubuntu, so unstable it would become non responsive, and actually, freeze my entire machine.
One of the reasons I am temporarily back to windoze.
