    Sorry for the double post:

    Van Halen- Panama
    ACDC- Highway to Hell
The Cars- Let the Good Times Roll (not necessarily about a car, but it's whatever your good time is)
    Beach Boys- Little Deuce Coupe
Rob Zombie- Black Sunshine (it rocks)
    War- Low Rider
    Rush- Red Barchetta
    Sammy Hagar- I Can't Drive 55
    Rolling Stones- Route 66
Eagles- Life in the Fast Lane
    Steppenwolf- Born to Be Wild
Johnny Cash- One Piece at a Time

That's all I can think of right now

Virtualy anything by PINK FLOYD! but I sugest the following albums for their driving psychedelic feel...
"the dark side of the moon"
    "atom heart mother"
    "wish you were here"

unless you are imune to the psichedelic effects of music while driving I'd say to keep of
    "ummagumma" and
    "saucefull of secrets"

By the way... "ummagumma" is my favourite album for my 3 times per week comute...

    meanwhile, enjoy...

Thank you, but I am looking for songs of the 60's and 70's that are about cars or about driving cars!

Ok, then... sorry... I thought you were looking for songs that are good for driving and not necessarily about cars... not much I can do for you, then. But hey... at least I tried to help out, buddy! Intentions do count, right?...

Yes they do, unless of course, you just decapitated me with a machete and said "Sorry old chap, didn't mean to!"

All kidding aside, I really do appreciate the efforts that you guys are putting forward!

Where is that machete wielding smiley when you need one?

I don't know if this was a hit in the US in 1975, but it was huge in Australia. Jump in my Car by the Ted Mulry Gang.

Unfortunately, a recent version by David Hasselhoff may have soured the original in many eyes...

[Edit: just watched this - hmmm, I idon't think the Hoff's version is the only cringe-inducing video clip....]

How about 'Chasing Cars' by Snow Patrol. OK so its not a 60s/70s song, but its a good one nonetheless. IMHO though there is a better version by Natasha Beddingfield- an acoustic version.
