If i'd have been thinking i'd have said gravity sucks.

I have since been told that one of the strangers told the ambulance dispatch person I was 40! I only turned 29 last week!!!

I'm glad someone is looking out for you. Sounds like a close call and it is SCARY as smurf watching someone going through a siezure. Spike gets them due to his Diabetes and even now I will occasionally get freaked out.

Doesn't matter who is around he only focuses on me and remembers me being there, but first he has to remember me! That hurt the first few times I heard it but you just have to remember it's part of the fit and eventually it comes flooding back.

I know what your wife goes through, she has my fullest sympathies. Good job we love you guys as you leave your lives in our hands. It helps to know there are people out there who understand what you go though because they go though it too. Not like going to see some damn shrink with tick charts and the latest med journal shoved so far up their smurfing ass they can't tell when they are being condescending

Sorry, didn't mean to have a rant. Maybe we should have dedicated threads for members who have or look after someone with a health problems. Hell I had no one to talk to about Diabetes until I found out Tony had it, he made me feel a lot better last night in chat as I had been a bit down.

    Have a speedy recovery.

+5 & to my gorgeous Lady.

I get hypos as Silver describes at least once a month & I do not have a clue who where & sometimes even what I am. Not fun, but that's life.

Sir Sidney, I hope you are feeling much better & sleeping today's adventure off. The kindness of strangers is amazing when someone anyone is in trouble. Once, I collapsed on the express bus & the next thing I knew we were pulling up & I was carried off the bus & onto the waiting ambulance. I promptly passed out again & woke in the ER. I would like to be able to thank the passengers who helped me that day but doubt I ever will. So if someone any one is in trouble, help if you can.

Its not until I think about it now that I realize that my phone and wallet that were on me werent touched. No money was taken. Nothing.

Someone did remove my wedding ring off of my finger but they gave it to my wife. They did that because I had injured my hand all around it. The injury has since got infected and i'm on antibiotics.

Still got a lump on the back of my head. I had a letter published in the local rag this week thanking the unknown good samaritans who came to my aid. Apparently some of them were Mods on scooters (not moderators, the old fashioned type of 'mod').

Well.... there you go. Its ALOT better than it was. Still looks fairly gammy though.

EDIT: Also, i'm told that they tried to take blood whilst I was in the ambulance by using a pin-prick thing. Even when they squeezed my finger and did it, the blood wouldnt come out. Can we say sugar crash?

Glad to see you are ok.

My wife has epilepsy and suffers from seizures. Her seizures are under control with medicine and typically occur when she is in REM sleep.

This is fortunate for her in that she doesn't fall down but the concern would be ensuring an unblocked airway.

Most people who suffer from gran mal seizures need a little bit of room, a free airway and reassurance when they regain conciousness.

Also remember, never, ever stick something in the persons mouth to protect the tongue.

I join our fellow members in wishing you a speedy recovery.

How right you are gatorfan. I was very disorientated when I came too on Sunday and was most concerned about letting my employer know what had happened. My priorities were all screwed up- I didnt care about the lump on my head or the huge cuts on my hands. I was constantly trying to get up, thinking 'I'm in the middle of the street- why should I lie down?'. Looking back now I realize how disorientated I was. I was very fortunate to be surrounded by the people who were around me.

I hope that you are doing better now and all is right with you and your employer.

If I was there, I would have caught you before your head hit the pavement. I am a sworn enemy of epilepsy and very sensitive to you and other victims of this affliction.

When I was growing up (a process that seems to have broken down somehow), I had a very good friend who was epileptic and asthmatic. I was taught by his mom how to help when he had any seizures or attacks. Three times I was present during seizures. I also had a dachshund with epilepsy. The poor thing seized about six or seven times that I saw. These grand mals always upset me horribly.
