Yes, and if we're going to talk about correlations between political statements and price of oil that $17 almost makes up for the Iran-related hikes. Just lift the ban for drilling in the oval office and we'll be back to $1/gallon.

Oil is down by another 5 dollars per barrel today! This brings oil down 10% from its peak of 149 dollars (give or take a few pennies) just before Bush made his speech!

Supply is not the issue - Speculators are driving the price not supply.

And when you make an investment, don't you speculate? When you buy a house don't you speculate about the neighborhood? whether your children will be safe? How about when you buy a car? Isn't GE speculating and making investments in "green friendly" energy?
Evil speculators!
