    I am an idealist as well, and find myself sleeping better at night after voting for the best candidate regardless of party affiliation rather than the lesser of two major party candidate evils.

    It's the belief that only one of the two major ones will win that drives people to vote for them. Who has the crystal ball? It would be so nice if voters would simply vote their conscience instead of holding their noses at the ballot box because they have been tricked into thinking there are only two choices.

    Unfortunately, some states (like Oklahoma) do not count write-in candidate votes, and it looks like McCain and Obama will probably be the only two on our ballots in No-vember
