OLYMPICS!!!

I think the Chinese are enhancing their reputation by leaps and bounds.

No Country is perfect.

In addition they make T shirts at a great price.

They're owning the Weightlifting.

I didnt see it but apparently Andy Murray was put out early on by a chinese fella.

Apparently he looked like he was BAKING hot! :(

I could have sworn that the moveable type segment of the opening ceremony was done with computer-controlled pistons under those blocks. I was completely blown away when all those people popped thier heads out from underneath at the end. :bow :bow

My highlights of the games so far have been the Aussie girl's 400m IM world record, the US swimmer's seemingly impossible quest for 8 gold medals becoming more and more likely (that guy is a freak!!), and both the cycle road races. Looking like it's going to be another great Olympics.

Is anybody else completely baffled by the scoring in the boxing competitions? I see both guys landing clean shots and half the time, they don't get scored. Its like the scoring has nothing to do with the fight you're watching! What a drag. :mad:

Yeah - seems fairly subjective to me, but I'm sure there's methods in the madness.

If you want to talk about baffling scoring, try watching the Judo :shrug:

I'd like to watch the judo, but I don't think they show that here. Instead, I get to watch synchronized diving - woo hoo! ;)

LOL! I know one of the guys in the Aussie synchro diving team.

Yeah, I guess we are prisoners to what the TV company chooses to telecast. For us it's anything with an Aussie in it, so atm we are getting to see horses jumping over sticks and a lot of swimming heats.
