It is one of two films that makes me cry every time I see it.

Agreed stayed depressed for days afterwards also Hadashi no Gen (barefoot gen) is another one that just makes you feel awful

At the end when they find Mei, the young girl who ran away :'(

I love catbus though. Miyazaki films are great. I love spirited away and howls moving castle too. Ghibli studios do tons of great stuff. You're up jim.
