    Default squeaky dress shoe.. help!

Ok, recently one of my dress shoes has developed a "squeak" when I walk and it's driving me nuts (and probably anyone else I walk past). What causes this, and is there a way to fix it?

try some baby powder under the insole. not to much. you don't want a puff shooting out with every step. just enough to cover. i had a pair that squeaked so loud i could not walk and carry a conversation with someone. too distracting.

Could be the last, and that might be it for the shoe. Go see your neighborhood shoe repair guy, if its an expensive shoe.

depending on the leather type, a little mink oil could go a long way.

I had a pair of shoes that squeaked so much... They were my favourite shoes until my dog made a nice meal out of them... Anyhow... I wore them during my college degree (4 years - durable shoes... ) and every day I squeaked my way through the halls just to get to class... If I was late for class and the halls were empty I would announce my arrival with a squeak... squeak... squeak... squeak... SQUEAK! Knock knock... "sorry I'm late!" long stroy short: the squaking stopped when my dog ate the shoes... Go figure!
