Observations?
Georgia... Poland...
Iraq... Iran...
High oil prices are good for Russia and Venezuela, and bad for USA.
Those are some of my observations.

Reminds me of Cuban Missile Crises.

we should respect such men so that the world will love us again
let's send him an offering of native fruits and trees to express our acceptance of our minor differences
better yet, let's just give him everything we have and kneel before him in worship
Edit: Maybe that's going a little far, but what exactly does chavez want?Last edited by hoglahoo; 09-12-2008 at 06:38 PM.

The US continues with the double standard..."we can come and take a dump in your yard (US sticking its nose into Georgia)...but you can't come and do the same."
The US cried out for a free Kosovo (populated by 90% ethnic Albanians moved there under Tito during the last century...there is no Albainian cultural tie to Kosovo) thumbing its nose at Serbia. Kosovo is to Serbia as Gettysburg or Lexingoton/Concord are to the US.)...then, when the Abkaz and South Ossetians demanded independence (and they actually have ties to the country), Georgia went in with tanks and artillery to take the areas back (as the Serbs did with Kosovo). Russia went in and handed the Georgians their ass on a plate...and the US cried foul (as Russia did with US support for Kosovo). Same situation, same players, different sides. So, all I see is more hypocrisy out of Washington.
Missles in Poland = Bombers in Venezuela
"If you can help us or you have oil, we'll support waht ever you want...our ethics are for sale."
I still want to know how long it took the White House staff to explain the Atlanta was not in danger, when news broke about the Russians entering Georgia.....
