Imagine that! And all this time they (the left in this country) have been trying to convince us that fascism was more right wing in nature, but look at the majority of who voted for the first bill in the house. I guess, as I have said before, that it is more of a left wing ideology disguised!
Thanks for making this point for me Jim!

If memory serves me Facism was the marriage of capital and government(left and right), at the peoples expense, ie nazi germany. I think I just saw the two whores walking down the aisle.New york and DC.

Just thought I'd post up some Pepe Escobar:
YouTube - The People's Republic of Wall Street
“These capitalists generally act harmoniously and in concert to fleece the people, and now that they have got into a quarrel with themselves, we are called upon to appropriate the people’s money to settle the quarrel.”

If I have made your point, I'm sure you're welcome. But please explain what point I've proven.
You seem to be saying that the American Left is fascist, not socialist. Obviously, they can't be both -- fascism and socialism are mutually-exclusive by definition.
So what does that make the American Right? Socialist?
I'm confused. Please explain.

They really aren't similar at all, the modern use of the term socialism is used as a insult to anyone who rejects the fact that the market should be unfettered by any regulation or interference.
Facism
an authoritarian and nationalistic right-wing system of government and social organization.
• (in general use) extreme right-wing, authoritarian, or intolerant views or practice.
The term Fascism was first used of the totalitarian right-wing nationalist regime of Mussolini in Italy (1922–43), and the regimes of the Nazis in Germany and Franco in Spain were also fascist. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one national or ethnic group, a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach.
Socialism
a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
• policy or practice based on this theory.
• (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.
The term “socialism” has been used to describe positions as far apart as anarchism, Soviet state communism, and social democracy; however, it necessarily implies an opposition to the untrammeled workings of the economic market. The socialist parties that have arisen in most European countries from the late 19th century have generally tended toward social democracy.

I am not trying to refute your definition of facism, but as it applied to nazi germany I believe it was called the national socialist workers party, the socialist part of this would lead me to believe it was leftist while the national would lead me to believe it was of the right, a marriage of the two. Then there is the actual application of the ideology in real life, Hitler came to power and crawled in bed with the capital/industrial elites and with mutual blessings and cooperation started us on the juggernaut that was WWII and everything that it entails.. Not wanting to start a fight, just clarifying my position.
