A Peaceful All Saint's Day
"Keep in mind that our community is not composed of those who are already saints, but of those who are trying to become saints. Therefore let us be extremely patient with each other's faults and failures."

Likewise, a peaceful All Saint's or Dia de los Muertos. Remember, every day is a dance with Death.

Today, for Roman Catholics, is All Souls Day. A day or prayer for those departed and in purgatory awaiting final judgement.

It's as if a million chrysanthemums suddenly cried out in unison. And then... nothing...
The 1st is the traditional day when people visit the graves of their loved ones, and put flowers on top. That day is officially a remembrance for the dead. Although there are many who choose another day because the 1st has become one of commerce (flowers) and sometimes hypocrisy (did you notice she used cheap flowers / did not spend a lot of time there).
The average Belgian spends about 30 euros on flowers to put them on a tombstone.
The traditional flower is the chrysanthemum, though I do not know why.Last edited by Bruno; 11-02-2008 at 01:49 PM.
Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.
