Let's see about our demographic here: SRP Conversation regulars
- you have money to buy a computer and an internet connection, and the skills to use them (few dialup hold-outs)
- you are predominantly white (no black (*)people, judging from the picture thread)
- you are male.
- you participate in political discussion.
- you take to activities of the past
- you are 'manly' men
To be honest, it would surprise me if Obama came out ahead in my poll.
(*) Am I allowed to use this term, or is it considered derogatory? I didn't mean to use it as such. Correct me if there is a better nomer.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Bruno,
Yes, I am comfortable with 'Old' technology. My hobbies are Leathercraft, Blacksmithing and Handloading my own ammunition. My everyday 'carry' watch is a 1926 Hamilton 992 Pocket Watch.
There is absolutely no substitute for horsepower. This applies to truck engines, lawn mowers and firearms. I particularly like older calibers, that start with a 4.
I have no interest in one of the new "Wonder-nine" tricked out handguns. I dislike 'Plastic' guns!
I am probably a throwback, but it's okay. I'm happy with it.
Regards,
Jeeter

Thanked: 13246I have never cast a vote as I did this morning.....
I voted for only one issue, and one issue only, and the candidate that I voted for is not even solidly in my corner on that issue....
I have never been so disappointed in the election process in this country,
WE NEED 2 MORE PARTIES...!!!!!
The Liberal Party, The Democratic party, The Republican party, and the Conservative party....
Let the chips fall where they may!!!!!! because this 2 party, us against them crap has to end....
Trust me the best man/woman ain't gonna win, they ain't even in the race, for any side.....
I am now done ranting you may now return to your regularly scheduled programming......

True! Add another McCain vote up there in the poll for my wife who doesn't use the computer, doesn't care a thing about it, isn't caucasian, isn't male, doesn't participate in political discussion, doesn't take to activities of the past, and isn't manly
But she is married to someone who is and who does!Last edited by hoglahoo; 11-04-2008 at 06:45 PM.

I'm with sixgun on needing more equal access for parties. I don't fully understand the reason the two big parties are the only ones that actually have a chance of competing. I fall in line iwth the libertarian ideals most of the time. there was one candidate I liked but am not going to vote for because it is just a throw away.
I believe part of it is financing, but part of it is just that entrenched republican and democrat crap. I'm very disappointed this year too, then again I was disappointed the last two presidential elections as well. Hell, I probably won't be happy till they bring Teddy back.
