"He Has Favored Our Undertakings"
I found McCain's speech gracious, respectful, and courageous, despite the reaction from some of the people in the crowd.
I found Obama's speech inspiring, somber, and humble - a theme of unity and hope.
The challenges before Obama as President and us as a nation are gargantuan - not seen since the Depression and World War II.
My hopes remain for a closing of the nation's divisions, a united effort to move forward as citizens of the United States, a return to seeking the guidance of the Constitution, rather than how to circumvent it.
I prayed daily that "the best person be elected who can unite the nation, lead us back to leadership in the world and help us to restore our nation as the beacon of Liberty and Hope"....I did not pay for a specific person; I sincerely pray this has come to pass.
The United States has come through a period of scandal and deception, poor leadership and failed policies, intolerance and hate, division and derision, internal challenges to individual Liberties and the encroachment of theocratic influences, as well as death, bloodshed, and sacrifice around the globe. Lady Liberty's torch has been tarnished and the Constitution assailed.
But here we stand. The pyramid is still unfinished.

May God look upon us and guide our continuing efforts to complete the work started in 1776.
