    Depends on what part of DC you're talking about. Civil servants in places like the Congressional Budget Office and the Office of Management and Budget use the old standard math. Their results are pretty much on the up-and-up. Very accurate, for the most part.

    Of course, then their results are interpreted by politicians.

    Seems like the budget makers of the world may use this system...how else do you explain how they say we have enough money when we've spent every cent we have three times over?
