Obligatory feel good thread: Thanksgiving
In my family, we always talked about what we were thankful for this year. For some it was to still be alive, for others it was that job/promotion, still others it was just good company. So what are you thankful for this year? Please no political bs. No need to limit it to one item or post.
I'll go first since no one else ever wants to go first. I'm thankful for the moments of clarity we occasionally have. I've had several this year, and each have been very interesting and, dare I say life changing.
I'm also thankful that gas is below $2 a gallon

I am thankful for my family. My wife especially. She and I have been through a lot this year prior to my deployment, and still have another hard year ahead of us because of the deployment. She has done so much to help me get ready for it, and has been very understanding of this aspect of my job. It's hard on the joes, but it's just as hard on their wives. I am thankfull for the people that I am able to count as friends. The good guys are increasingly difficult to come by it seems, and I believe that I am honored to know a few. And I am thankfull for the lady that invited my wife and I over to her house for thanksgiving this year even though I am 6ft 5in and have the appetite to match. Poor gal won't know what hit her.
