Default Boy Diagnosed with Playstation Addiction

    Required Disclaimer:
My purpose for opening this thread is to gain some sort of satisfaction knowing that other members of this forum have read this short article and came to different serious and amusing conclusions or perhaps none at all regarding the matter hopefully resulting in interesting feedback later on within this thread. (let the record show this is the same reason for every thread I start in the Conversation forum)

I am not even sure if this topic is controversial, but if so, let me state that I think the content of this article reflects how perception is as good as reality, that the situation by itself is funny, but that it did not come altogether surprising is saddening.

Not very surprising at all. I'd like to know how long the "marathon session" was, and what game[s]. I know for myself I've done some serious lengthy gaming, even at a fairly young age, and didn't share those reactions.

That said, I have had day in and day out at looking at terminal windows while coding, and begun to dream i was seeing the world through terminal windows. It lasted quite awhile. I'm better now, I'm back to dreaming of naked women again.

Let the record show that I posted my thread about controversial and political threads in order to deal with inflamatory threads, and that there is no need to become pedantic about it.

EDIT: Let the record further show that being pedantic results in a timeout.

If you can't just post something and say why or what you think about it without putting up ridiculous disclaimers, then don't post.

Rather than an addiction, wouldn't that have been an overdose?

I absolutely believe someone could get psychologically addicted to gaming just as I believe a person can get psychologically addicted to habitually watching television complete with some form of withdrawal, etc.

there's something wrong with the kid already. I myself once attended a 84 hour lan-party, played games the whole time, and was fine.

obviously this n3wb got p0wnd too hard and it snapped his little mind

Can we have an exception to this pedantic rule for lawyers? My four year old put me in time out for "not being nice and not listening to her at all" and this pedantic standard is going to put me on a two game losing streak.
