Got another one to do for Monday - I'm starting to enjoy this. Suppose I'll have to start doing some of the things on the tender document soon right enough

Oh and BTW - we're having another baby in June it would appear That's home study for you...
Very happy for you, Makar! But... what on earth is that occupation?! I looked it up on the diccionary and came out as clever as I went in. Care to explain? One has to learn something new everyday! Not native to the language... somethings just fly past me! Sorry... And thanks!

A tender is a request for bids or proposals - essentially a company / organization / government puts out a request for something, including specifications, timeframes, etc., and then companies/people bid to fill that contract. If you win, it is said that you won the tender - or the right to perform the work (or make the product).

As for what Stephen's tender relates to, well, I'm not entirely sure, but I seem to recall that he went into consulting...right?

Yes - basically I am offering consultancy in heritage interpretration. That means the client base will be agencies and charities managing sites of natural or cultural heritage. I offer to combine audience desires, organisational needs and the sites significance into a plan. This can then be implemented in many ways that I could also help with . I'm trying to do more than connect people through interpretive boards or displays, leaflets etc. but to try and do it in a way that ignites a spark and makes them want more. In the end it is a wee bit about attitude change too - conservation is a big aim that threads through it all. But it's got to be fun!

    Today is a good day
