A reference would be helpful! When was the recall issued? Who issued it?
Or, how did you find out about it?
I found this on Snopes:
snopes.com: PPA Advisory Alert
Thanks for the heads up! If I find anymore current info I will post it
Edit: FDA issued a warning in 2000:The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is issuing a public health advisory concerning phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride. This drug is widely used as a nasal decongestant (in over-the-counter and prescription drug products) and for weight control (in over-the-counter drug products). FDA is taking steps to remove phenylpropanolamine from all drug products and has requested that all drug companies discontinue marketing products containing phenylpropanolamine...Last edited by hoglahoo; 12-10-2008 at 06:35 PM.

sorry i should have posted that i did do a little research to back it up and that it was originally issued by the FDA. the weird thing is that the FDA told drug companies to take this chemical out of their products in 2000 yet there are still warnings about the products now. seems weird that they would be able to keep putting this stuff in their products.
i just figured that is was cold season so people should watch out. now that i reread what i put it does kinda seem like it is me giving the warning. ha!
