Default IMDb ,....... anyone else notice this ?

So all of us at my house frequent IMDb.com for movie info and actors and what there doing now etc. We play the association game it seems everytime we watch a movie. What happens is we see other maybe not so well know actor/actress and tell what other movie they were in and the part they played..... anywho

IMDb seems to think they are worth a membership... I found out as you can no longer see what future projects a movie person is making etc. BUT if you sign up at the rates below you get a membership etc...

    14-Day Free Trial, then $12.95 a month
    14-Day Free Trial, then $99.95 a year ($8.33 / month, save 36%)

Now besides all the damn ads on there site I dont think it is work $100 a year ! lol

anyone else notice this change as of late.... ?

They have been working towards this for a while with their forum membership and stuff. What a waste of money.

Real actors, directors, producers use it so making someone have a membership will weed out the comments of those not in the business.

People in that industry aren't worth looking up for free . . . wait a bit and you'll get to see their work. Why bother paying . . .

You can still see the basic list that they've always given, you just can't see an itemized listing. Just go to an actor's page and check their movie credits. I just did this for Brad Pitt and am now quite excited about the Inglourious Basterds [sic] movie which he is currently filming, as well as the Odyssey which is only announced.

If your going to pay for the site you might as well get the imdb pro account and you can see how much they get paid and how much money the movies are making. Otherwise there really isn't much reason to go to the site anyway. I got a pro account a couple of years ago when I started getting into indie film's and helped out a few guys on movies filmed here in las vegas.
