Thanked: 953Seeing as I have two kids already, I thought I had the changing thing down. He was crying tonight, I figured because he had poop in his pants - wrong, he had poop waiting to get in his pants, as I found out.
So I take his PJs off, then the onesy - not easy when they are so small, because you don't want to break them. Then I take of the diaper and clean away, but having only had daughters so far I was ambushed by a three foot arcing rainbow of pee. As I scramble to clean that up, the real cause of his malaise manifested itself on my lap - nasty! So then I try to get his outfit on, and realize I've poop on my hands so I'm just making it worse. Somehow I got through it, mostly because my four year old helped out - yes, I needed her help, which was shockingly good from all her practice on her dolls.
Oh this is going to be interesting. But I have two fundamental rules - secure the pee rifle before moving on the poo, and don't do anything else until the new diaper is in place.
