    Default Gran Torino

Saw the movie last night. Movie deals alot with race. The theater was full. Therre were whites, blacks, hispanic and a few asians there. At the end of the movie the people applauded.
Eastwood makes movies with everything, drama, suspense, action, etc.

He is willing to go where there is no trail and leave a path.

I don't remember when i have enjoyed a movie as much as i did this one.

    Highly reccomended.

If you want to see a movie that deals with race issues and haven't yet seen "crash", it's one of the most eye opening movies on the subject. American History X with Edward Norton is also fan-frikkin-tastic. We've come along way in America, and I can't wait until racism is all but a long forgotten blight upon our history.

Gran Torino is now on my "to do" list.

I read on another board that all of the Hmong in the film are amateurs, as "acting" has never been a thing that Hmong did.

Excellent film. Can't wait to force the wife to watch it.

I really loved it! And it also had a scene from a barber-shop if I am not mistaken.

The seat I got was besides an asian girl that seemed a bit upset, but I guess the movie would be a lot less realistic if he called them asians instead of all the insults he came up with.

The racist comments he made in the movie were exactly the point of the story. It's the Archie Bunker thing.

+1 on this being a must see movie. It is disturbing and amazing and thought provoking at the same time.
