Thread: Ever hear this?

So I'm having dinner with my wife, my good friend of many years and his wife. My friend's wife had a couple of drinks, and blurts out the fact that her husband, when he's at home, pees sitting down. I was incredulous, but my friend argues that it's "less messy" and he sees nothing wrong with it. I guess there's nothing really "wrong" with doing it this way, but it really floored me to hear about my friend's "little habit". (BTW-there's no issue here about his sexuality.)
Anyone else do this/hear of this?

I can see how that could be less messy, but it would also take more time. Not really worth it, in my opinion.

That seems wrong somehow. It really says a lot about my cultural mores, really.

My father did this all his life. I never have but seeing as he was a Navy Seal, i cant say anything about it not being "manly". But the same as your friend, it is only done at home, never in public.

I think there is a limit to what a wife should mention about her husband and what a friend should post about his friend. I think you've found my limit.

I stand, that is just the way I have always done it.
A couple of years ago I knew two girls who would always bug me about sitting. They were going on about how bad it was for me, how there is a bit of urine trapped in the bladder, that can only be squeezed out while sitting and that it is messy. I would just tell them that I would get the last rest out the next time anyway.
