Thanked: 1195+1 on the Creemore Xman!! In fact I'm drinking one right now (not joking). As for Upper Canada, to my knowledge it is completely defunct. I couldn't even find it when I was in Ontario/Toronto a few years back.
Well said, well put, especially from a member hailing from the home of Sleemans

So I have a question for the Canadians on the forum, what's crime like in Canada? Any problems with gangs? Is that just an inner city problem? I ask because I'm planning on becoming a permanent resident, and on the one hand I hear Michael Moore praising Canada for its lack of gun crime(for the record I don't trust Michael Moore for good information) and on the other hand I hear about a rise in violent crimes in Canada. While I doubt I'd be moving out of the frying pan and into the fire on this situation I'd still like to know what to expect.

Illegal....
All kidding aside, it does exist. Let me google that for you
Yes
Yes
Where?
Actually, Moore gets it about right. I live just a half hour walk away from "The Worst Neighbourhood in Canada" (no argument, no contest, widely accepted), but a Midwestern American Woman I know living here said that she never feels unsafe like she would in an American city, even on East Hastings.

Well that's somewhat comforting. I was thinking about moving to or near Vancouver, as I've never heard anything bad about it, although It's probably a tough place to get settled in(high cost of living), so I'm open to suggestion.
What google says is the complete antithesis to what Michael Moore saysthat's why I asked.
