Me & Ralph Cramden
So I hit my 2,000 post a few days ago and saw this little icon appear next to my screen name mouth yapping and eyes blinking. At first I didn't realize what it was and then I got a PM from a friend congratulating me on achieving "blabbermouth" status. LOL
I thought of what Abraham Lincoln once said in a speech about the man who was tarred and feathered and run out of town on a rail,"If it wasn't for the honor of the thing I'd just as soon have walked".
Thanks to all who make SRP what it is for the enjoyment and most of all the knowledge it has given to this old guy.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 102Run out of town on a rail
There is a story in my family about my great great grandfather Ellington.
It was told that when he was run out of town on a rail, he tipped his hat to all the ladies as he went by.
He was a real gentleman.
Good manners will carry you along way in this world.
