Upstate NY Plane Crash

It's not supposed to happen this way. It's always someone else. Tragedies should only happen to people we don't know, to people we don't love. I just learned that a very close friend was on this plane. I have to go pick up my girlfriend at her office and drive her down to the Jersey home of our friend. His wife is Scarlett's best friend and is sitting on the floor in the kitchen staring at the wall. Her mother called Scarlett. WTF?

I just showered and shaved I feel like I am stuck in a loop. I have to go pick Scar up and drive her down to NJ to be with her best , and I mean BEST friend who's husband just was literally plucked out of her life. We will never see him again. POOF! He's just gone. My god I am at a loss.

Our friend was a remarkably talented jazz guitar player. He was on his way to a gig.

I have to go be strong for Scarlett and her friend now. I will bring my dog from whom I can draw some strength.

I apologize if this is a bit maudlin. I will be more together after a while. Now I am wondering who else we know was on that plane. It just dawned on me if he was going to a gig, there may have been some other members of the band on board.

My condolences for your loss and to his wife and your girlfriend. You need to be strong. There is a time and place for everything. Right now you need to focus on your driving to NJ. Once that is done return your thoughts to where they belong at this time of sorrow. I know it's easier said than done. I had to drive to LI for my brother's unexpected departure. The drivers down there will not know your story or provide you with safe travel because if it. Stay alert and drive safe.

Man thats tragic... soooo sorry to hear this.

Your going to have a long and draining weekend ... I cant imagine how hard its gonna be.
