[quote=icedog;335632 what's wrong with promoting peacful co-existance on the Earth?[/quote]

    Some people don't like it.

Case and point: John Lennon...song about peace, and he's dead.

Just a little poking around...and I found it.

Google: Satan Cake Tool, and you find "Die Eier von Satan" which is a recipe for "Angel's Food Cake."

"rapin ho's"???? really? i generally consider myself an afficianado on hip hop and the only instances of rape that i can pull up in my mental files are either the rapper is telling a sad story or it's a "beef rap" and he's saying what he's going to do to another rapper's girl and anyone believing that he means it is a tard.

killing cops. most of those comments come from those who grew up where police brutality was the rule and not the exception and they are just venting. and a large percentage of those raps come after horrible events like the rodney king beating, amadou dialo's death and shawn white's death. it's mostly frustration with a system that is supposed to protect but does harm instead. i'm not condoning it, but i understand where it comes from. heck, my dad's a cop and the first time i heard ice t's "cop killer", he was listening to it.

as far as the "racist music", if you don't like it, don't buy it. how hard is that. someone thinks they can make money off of it, don't help them succeed if you disagree with their views, how hard is that?

Regarding people who have racist, bigoted or otherwise hateful messages, I personally think they should not only be allowed a public stage, I think they should be widely advertized and very well published. These knuckleheads, ****heads or skinheads or whatever they are are like the maggots in the bottom of the trash can. When you let the sun shine on them, they die and dry up. People who promote hate like the KKK or American Nazis can only thrive when they sneak around in little clubs and closed camps. When the real public sees and understands what they are all about the revulsion for the haters is immediate and irreversible.

In the forties and fifties the KKK did very well for a while but thanks to the publicity of the actions of good and intelligent people like Dr. King, Malcolm X, Rosa Parks and hundreds of others who fought for civil rights, the sixties brought about sweeping changes. Of course there will always be closed minded racists, misogynists, homophobes, anti-semites and others that hate. But I like to believe that a human of average intelligence when given all the facts and allowed to decide objectively will arrive at the same conclusion. Live and let live. The Golden Rule is truth in any language. Everyone on the planet deserves equal respect until they do something that violates someone else's civil rights or, "life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness." While I am stating my opinion, I don't believe there are any valid arguments against it.

A few months ago, Jockeys made a very interesting statement. I doon't know why but the very interesting thread was deleted. However, I want to re-iterate Jockeys' point. While I am paraphrasing, I hope to proclaim how much I agree with Jockeys' theory. Basically (and please Jockeys, correct me if I missed or messed up your point), we are all members of many groups or, "collectives". Those collectives can be declared from the very basic and broad down to miniscule divisions of meaningless minutiea. It is the dedication to these collectives that drive hatred. Therefore, as Jockeys so elloquently said in October, "Collectivism sucks." However, I think we should respect the basiic collectives.

I flatly refuse to associate with anyone that is not of my race. Being a lifetime member of the Human Race, I believe all other members of the human race are my equal. Everyone is an individual and they are deserving of my respect and consideration until they do something that proves otherwise.

I prefer to ignore discussions of devotion to smaller collectives although some collectives should be not only discussed but celebrated. While this may sound convoluted, it is quite simple. I am trying to avoid devotion to and the discussion of others' dedication to any divisive collectives. Divisive collectives are obvious: race, religion and political alignment are the top three. While these are not divisive if kept in a small group of likeminded individuals, you cannot demonstrate dedication to the primary collective if you assign priority to any of these three sub-collectives. However, there are smaller collectives that are often divisive but harmlessly so.

If you follow sports, those who are dedicated to a given team can have much fun by declaring themselves a member of one group or another. Lovers of certain foods, music or movies are other examples. One of my favorite observations of opposing collectives is the flirting with someone of the opposite sex. While I have no problem with homosexuality, I don't really understand it. At fifty years old, it does me a great deal of good to recognize when a lovely lady has made some flirtatious comment or gesture. I have been flirted with by another man (which makes me assume he is gay) and it is still flattering but getting hit on by a big. hairy man is not nearly as gratifying as a wink or slyly couched double entendre from the young lady with the plunging neckline at the CVS.

So let the hate group sing their hate song and the intelligent public will deny they are members of the same race and the haters will be ostracized.

John Lennon was not killed because he promoted peace. Lennon was shot by Mark David Chapman because Mark David Chapman was a mental case.

It's the same sort of trash as NWA and the rest of the racist crap. As long as I can turn it off; I'm fine.
