    Default I Am Now Resolved

I said my New Year Resolution was to finish my book. I have to admit, for several reasons it was alot more difficult than I originally had imagined. It took me just under five years to complete. It fills 199 pages and has 67,773 words. I like it. We'll see what happens next but I know at least I didn't sabotage the project. I overcame my insecurities and finished my novel!!!

Let me be the first to congratulate you, Brad. Fantastic news. It's always nice to see someone complete a task like that.
When will we see it on the book shelves?

Good luck on getting it published!

Awesome, Brad! Congrats on not letting OCD push you to make it 200 pages..... Adrian Monk would be highly disappointed.

(Monk = tv show characther with hilarious ocd)

Awesome Brad! So many people aren't able or willing to see it through. Hopefully the next one (if there is) will take you less time. Are you pursuing publishing?

Well done & good luck! That must be a real sense of achievement after putting in so much.

Good job! What a fantastic feeling that must be. I have a few short stories that I have been "meaning" to turn into longer pieces, and never have. Maybe you'll inspire me! Probably not, though. I am an expert slacker when I want to be.

Will you give us a hint as to subject matter? If no, completely understood.

I am familiar with Monk and believe me, I looked at the file again and again thinking exactly that it should be 200 pages! Thanks.

It is an odd feeling. I got a little misty.

I don't know about rich and famous but I do have a very strong belief it will be published. I am very lucky to have some friends who know a bit about publishing. At the time of this writing those friends have it electronically. If it is declared "ready", I will push forward. Right now I will take Basil out to play for a bit.

    Thanks all,

    Brad

No hints required. The title is On the Road With Mr. Toes. The book is about a 3500 mile road trip in my MINI Cooper S with a polydactyl orange tabby. I took the cat on the road while my girlfriend and I took a much needed break from our relationship and my job in the medical device industry was falling apart. It is a story about learning to believe the hard way in the Serenity Prayer. You know, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change..."

You can see photos from the trip on my website
