Default What does your significant other do well?

I was having a moment of reflection today over lunch which started with how much I love SWMBO's cooking. From there, the reflection moved to other important areas where I really appreciate her.

    * First, the cooking. Good god can she cook! Even if it's the simplest stuff, it's always super tasty. For instance, I've had ribs from everywhere, but hers are the best I've ever had, period.

    * An eye for art, color, and decor. Every woman thinks she has discerning taste when it comes to these things, but she seems to have been born with it. We've lived in some slums that she has turned around into tasteful places for next to nothing. Don't even get me started on art. Besides having an eye for picking it out, she can paint hang worthy paintings.

    * She learns quickly, assuming it's within her scope of abilities.

There are so many more, some of which I choose not to share, but I don't want to bore everyone. Outside of personal topics, what does your significant other do well that you appreciate??

Scarlett is much better at life than I am. She awakes each day, every friggin day with a smile. She is a happy camper. It makes me want to puke.

My BW also has that artistic talent--both in fine arts and in bringing an artistic eye to the house. And she writes excellent fiction. And she's a great cook as well, but what has meant much more, the best possible mother to our kids.

Beyond that, we have a sort of division of skills. She's got the useful and significant skills, I've got the useless ones.

My girlfriend manages to keep me happy by just being a cheerful person. No matter how upset I am, or how stressed I am, or how angry I might be, she can calm me down with a hug and a sentence. That's what's so great about her, and that's why I call her Angel.

I do all the cooking, our maid does all the cleaning, I do all the sewing, I do all the laundry.

She is good at translating manuscripts in dead languages and that's about it.

Mine's the exact opposite of me. Everything I fail miserably in she excels at and the obverse is true as well.

I'm the stay at home dad so I do all the "womanly" things plus the homeschooling the tribe. My wife makes all the money, keeps me in line, and still knows how to make me smile!
