Rather frightening, really...
The main statement, for me is: "this is a war between tghe values of freedom and democracy and the values of barbarism". That means that radical islam is willing to fight any western democracy and not only the USA. There is no way diplomacy and reason can work against this sort of violence and the tenacity of such violence. All can co-exist. But to realize that you have to have been born in a place where that sort of frame of mind can thrive. This is frightening. Stupidity, in itself, and all forms of colectivism are indeed hedious... Its an infame war based on deception and violence to "convert" the other into something that one thinks that is absolute. Faith in one or another God is... just faith. And guess what? The Bible, the Torah and the Koran all say the same thing: there is only one true God - the God that a given book speaks of. And that God is THE SAME ONE!
Radical islam is not only a threat to America and any other western civilization, but also a threat on normal everyday life, a threat on the inocence of us all. Most of all, its a threat on moderate thoughts, diplomacy - that is bound to fail in this particular case - and a great threat on common sense.

Interesting film on the radicals.
I hope you're all wearing your critical thinking caps, though.

Thanks for bringing us that film. I believe this man is sincere in his faith and wants to rid his religion of the radicals. My problem is where are the rest of the moderates and why are they silent. I think if they wanted to get rid of the radicals from their faith they could. I have the impression that they don't want to and agree with the radicals methods. The Christian community has shown they won't tolerate extremism such as abortion clinic bombings and has pretty much stopped it. That does not alter the fact that there are radicals still in the Christian community [Jim Jones, David Kuresh and others still waiting in the wings]. I think if I belonged to a Religion that condoned these radicals by silent approval I would look into changing my faith. A one out of four approval rate for suicide bombing in our own country by the Muslim population is scary. I would hope our civilization has outgrown the inquisitions of the past and proceed to the future with a clear and logical mind.
