Thread: Have you ever gotten over your first love?

Nothing more needs to be said. Simple question. seems cut and dry but as you consider the question you may find it rather more complex than it first appears.
Consider before you reply to this thread that it may not be wise to answer as someone may be looking over your shoulder.

There were a few girls I thought I loved....

But I'm marrying my real first love. I guess it's like having a razor honed by one of the great honemeisters. You don't know what sharp is until you have that benchmark.

Wait, we're not counting 86 Trans Ams as first loves, right?

I went with option #3 she died in 1983... while we were still in school. death is an evil bitch taking away all that i have loved.. and leaving just me.

I have long ago gotten over her but I doubt I'll ever forget the pain I felt when we parted company.

When I was younger, infatuation and love often got confused.

never really knew what love was until i met my wife.

When my first & i broke up i never thought i'd recover. I was heartbroken. Luckily, over the years, every girl i dated was far better looking, with a far better personality! That helped a lot. I bumped into her again after about 6 or 7 years & she'd ballooned & become hideous. That was a great moment & still makes me smile!
