    Default Happy St. Patrick's Day

I'm not Irish and I really know very little about the significance of the holiday but for those who celebrate today, have a happy.

I've never understood the mass appeal of Saint Paddy over all the other saints. Still, that never stopped me joining in the celebration with the utmost enthusiasm when i was at agricultural college!

Well, my Pagan (Irish to the bone red-head) ex-wife isn't a big fan of celebrating the man who removed the "snakes" (Pagans) from the island.
They have their own holdiays that invovle a bunch of drinking. They also involve dancing naked around a fire inthe woods with hot witches (and some not too hot witches, but hell, I'll take it).
Keep your cheap green beer, your plastics hats and parades, and a bunch of people who most certainly can NOT handle their booze. Bah-humbug....just kidding...
I mean, I'm still going to the pub for lunch and going to have a Pint and a Jamesons...I'm not married to her any more. I'll celebrate the sabbats too, right along with the high holidays, and Christmas with my friends. What is this world besides a beautiful melting pot that encourages us all to revel with each other in the celebrations of the metaphor that pays homage to the God(ess)(s)(es) of our choosing?

I LITERALIZE METAPHORS AND I VOTE! Sorry, just had a long fun discussing with a priestly friend.

    Happy St. Patrick's Day!

In a few hours I will be off to the pub to enjoy some Guinness and Jameson with a few friends.
