Default Three cheers for Lucky Jack!!!

Any readers of Patrick O'Brian? I have been reading the Aubrey/Maturin novels for the past several years now; ever since I saw the film "Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World". These books have a large influence on my interest in straight razor shaving because shaving is discussed at least once per novel. Jack Aubrey and Stephen Maturin have been a big part of my life for several years now; just wanted to find out if anyone here was in the same boat with me. Or is it a ship?

I read and loved Master and Commander a few years ago. I really intended to read the entire series after that but for some reason I never picked up the next book. Thank you so much for reminding me.
How can I determine in what order the series runs? http://www.wwnorton.com/pob/pobtitles.htm

That link has it correct: Master and Commander; Post Captain; H.M.S. Surprise; The Mauritius Command; Desolation Island; Fortune of War; etc., etc. Master and Commander was quite tech-heavy, which turns some away. I am currently starting "The Truelove", and with all the sailing information in these novels I confidently believe that I could sail a three mast ship even though I have never been in any sailboat. (just kidding) There is also a book titled "A Sea of Words: A Lexicon and Companion to the Seafaring Tales of Patrick O'Brian" (Third Edition) that has been priceless in helping me understand Royal Naval jargon, British slang, Latin, and general sailing knowledge which makes these novel more enjoyable. The author was Dean King. Hope this helps.
