Conversations with 4 year olds
My son comes up to me and we have the following conversation:
Daddy
Yes
I played a game with Kate at school
Really what kind of game.
Well she holds my wand while we go around and try to find a place to hide the hide the monkey. Then I hold my wand I look for another place to hide the monkey.
At this point I was looking at my wife in a weird way and she finally caught on and explained this game. But needless to say I was shocked that I may have to have THAT conversation with my 4 year old.
Imagine 4 year olds playing hide the monkey? What was I thinking.

You have never heard the expression "Hide the Monkey"? In reference to perhaps chasing your wife or significant other around the house.
Wand is of a euphemism.

Oh the actual game.
Ok, the wand is some kind of locater thingy that beeps when you get close to this monkey.
So the kids hide this monkey thing and the other kids runs around with a wand and tries to find it.
