What a rotten couple of days!
So, Friday a water pipe broke out in the chicken yard, I dug out the area and repaired the pipe, but the odd thing was that I had just the right amount of dirt to refill the hole. Yesterday I disassembled a commercial oven to repair and when I reassembled the oven there were no bolts left over...huh, I don't get it. Oh, and get this. This morning I dropped my buttered bread and it landed butter side up!
What a miserable few days it has been indeed.
I genuinely hope and pray that every member here has as miserable a time as I have had for the rest of their born days!
I have truly met and talked with some of the finest people here at SRP!
It has been quite the pleasure!

My wife got laid off. Bad you say. Hah. Good thing in my book. Now she has time to go back to school and complete her education and get someone else to pay for it.

Some time ago I repaired our tumbledryer, but I had to nearly dismantle it because of the way it was put together. I put it back together, and I had 1 screw left that I couldn't imagine where it came from.
It worked well enough so I left it like that.
Currently I am finishing up the guest bathroom. We had the tiles for 5 years, but not the time to put them up. We also had little glass mosaic tiles that we were going to use as well. Our ideas changed in the meantime, and we had not enough glass mosaic. Back to the shop, and the woman at the counter tells me that the supplier rep said that they no longer made them. She ophoned them to make sure of it, and luckily, the supplier still had enough in stock for what I wanted to do.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 23I'm notorious
I'm notorious for fixing my car and having one bold left over and NO clue where I got it from. Probably because when I'm ripping things off I'm far from happy and therefore not exactly taking notes. Though oddly, I've never had missing bolt related car failures. I can only assume cars contain many needless parts. :P

It's spare parts of course! I actually found one of the places where a "spare part" came from my truck and had to replace it. Turned out it was leaking oil
My last couple of days have been rather rotten, but I don't want to ruin this thread with it

Thanked: 586Thanks Mark. Although it may be a bit saccharin for my taste, I appreciate the sentiment of your initial message. However it seems the irony of your post appears to have fallen on deaf eyes.

It does appear that way doesn't it. And after I posted it I thought it was a little saccharin also, but I am generally not saccharin so I assumed it was that way to my ears only. I guess not.
Anyways, I was only trying to say that I like you guys, even the ones I do deadly battle with on the field of ideas.
(is that saccharin also?)Last edited by JMS; 03-24-2009 at 02:12 AM.
