not really that complicated you get to pick 6 people to fight per day. you go up in levels for winning fights and for the number of pupils you gain. you also gain experience and points for each pupil that moves up!
all fights are computer generated. you just set back and watch your butt get kicked

I've got a couple of Brutes (both level 4) on the go - I just put them through their daily fights in the arena. Got my butt kicked by a dude with a dog (or is it a cat?) and a freaking bear. My guy wouldn't even pull his knife to defend himself!
