Thanked: 41Drove 1 hr to see it at IMAX. BEST MOVIE OF THE YEAR. IMAX rocks. I really liked the movie. Just wondering if the saga is going to run in a parallel universe. Will we get 5 more installments? Never too much STAR TRECK for me.

I'll second the 'not long enough', David. I could have done another half hour easily.
Somewhere in several conference rooms on the Paramount lot, several writers and producers will begin gathering this week to determine the next step. We could get another TV series easily. We could get a run of movies. We might even get both, but whichever direction things end up going, it's not going to be business as usual any more.

Thanked: 150I took off work early to see this on opening day with my father. I grew up watching the re-runs of the original star trek, and watched all of the next generation.
I thought they did a great job rebooting the series, and opening up a whole world of possibilities. The sound and special effects were very well done.

EDIT: This should be in the Finer Things in Life section, right up there with sipping on a glass of Johnny Walker Blue, smoking a Montecristo #2, and enjoying a Coloado sunset in the mountains. Star Trek ROCKS!!Last edited by mhailey; 05-10-2009 at 05:27 PM.

Thanked: 234It was a really really good movie. Just the right amount of balance between the old and the new, I thought. Very well excecuted. I thought the cast was chosen well.
