Personally my favourite rifle is a 308w built on an 98 Mauser action refurbished by Famage in 1952, Ramline synthetic stock fitted with custom hinged floor plate, Timney trigger topped with an 8x50 Meopta scope in in a one price bridge mount. About twenty year back I used to shoot military fullbore but gave that away when the federal Gov't closed the local military rifle range and sold the land. The remaining ten or so rifles I have are in various calibres. No Semi autos, for the most part these were banned several years ago unless you are a primary producer and you require them for vermin control
See now, I also attributed the tenacity and sportsworthiness of Aussie athletes and soldiers to a founding heritage of spirited pirates and outlaws .... It sounds like the gene pool may have weakened recently. ink: .... but I hope not.
