Thanked: 1587I've re-read a lot of books in my time. At one point as a lad I was re-reading the Narnia chronicles repeatedly: as soon as I had worked my way through I would start back at The Magician's Nephew and go again...
Nowadays when I get the chance I like to re-read Moby Dick - I always find something new in there each time I read it. I also enjoy any Charles Dickens, most Joseph Conrad, and a few Sir Walter Scotts.

Like most folk I re-read books from time to time, mostly classics or poetry. I did read Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance twice. Didn't make a lot more sense the second time. I've never been able to read novels twice.
I do keep a lot of books in my study which I never get time to read. My late uncle said one of the best things about having a poor memory was that he could enjoy the same book twice without knowing how it was going to end.'Living the dream, one nightmare at a time'
