Thread: Well there ya go....banned from B&B

Ok, I'm not here to flame Badger and Blade and don't really want anyone else too either. Although I doubt the class of gentleman I have found in SRP would do much of that anyway.

I own a C-Mon razor I picked up a year ago when I decided the path to my future was to grab something out of the past. But I mostly use a safety razor. (I won't try to church up the danger factor of a safety by calling it a DE.)

I'm just restored my C-Mon and it looks new. I can't wait to send it out to be honed as soon as I figure out how to get these $&%@ pins right.

Anyway I was banned over there at B&B because it seems if you have any view other than that of Joel and his little circle jerk of Mods over there, then you are destined to be sent packing.

Basically I made a post in a political thread that they didn't like and said was disrespectful. But I pointed out to the mod that if their point of view is being put out there, that poster can be as demeaning or belittling as they wish. I further pointed out to the mod chastising me on this, that if they keep doing this they'll just be left with the same people giving the same poor advice on Wet Shaving. I used SRP as an example of good advice vs. bad advice especially when comes to Straights. Big mistake.

I didn't do the comparison as a, SRP is better than B&B. Just that when I read advice or political threads here, the end result is that I leave informed. All I read over there is the same thing over and over. I think this is a reflection of how that place is handled from the top down. Since they don't promote variation of any kind.

It's just as well, I have found myself going there less and less and reading other sites more and more.

Still, it's sad to see a good thing heading south. I get the impression there will someday be nothing left but the mods and Joel over there while crickets chirp in the background.

And I hope the crickets leave too!!!

Maybe they will get the hint when the people over there start leaving in droves.
