    Great post!

    1) If she said "I don't think balck men should be allowed to marry white women," would that still fall into the "she has the right to voice her opinion" category? I also feel she has the 1st Amendment right to say it, but I belive that speaking out against it is not just excusable/justified, but morally required.

    2) I think you are right, that those states who have passed amendments do speak to "not recognizing" same sex unions, not prohiniting them to the point of arresting priests/rabbis/shaman/ship captains/judges and justices of the peace that perform them.

The way the anti-rights movement tends to promote their bans is reprehensible. I find that true when the rights concerned are marying who you wish and arming oneself to protect one's family. Hence the fact that I have ****ed off my liberal friends equally with my conservative ones!

correct, the first amendment protects your right to be an asshole. while i don't agree with anything this bimbo said, i would defend with my life her right to say it.

What interests me is the question. This is a non political contest and she was asked a political question! It would be akin to judging Barney Franks Political abilities based on his looks! Bassackwards if you ask me.

I totally agree with you, Jimbo! A question like that does NOT belong in a beauty pagent.

She would have that right also as you would have the right to disagree, but as I stated Its a beauty contest for Petes sake! She is not running for office! The question was out of place, but since it was asked it gave her the right to answer it honestly.
