    Default Pictures as promised.

    Allright some time ago I mentioned that I was working on my first Damascus knife. Well it's finished. I promised pictures and here they are:

    I might know how to work steel a little but photoshop is a mystery to me.

    This is my third knife. It took me around 20-25 hours in total spread out over something like 4 months.

    It was my first attempt with damascus though and a lot of fun because of that. The whole time I was affraid that you wouldn't be able to see the patterns in it when it would be done. They came out rather nice though.

    Nice Alex! is that a Christian fish I spy in the damascus pattern near the brass bolsters in the third picture?

    What type of wood?

    Not on purpose but yeah, I guess you can see that. Funny, never spotted that myself. The wood is Black Palmwood. I love the look of the stuff, although it is a little brittle, it split when hammering the pins (although that might just be my fault since I'd never pinned anything before.)
