Default My family escaped to Franklin Indiana

Just wondering if anyone on SRP is from or lives near Franklin Indiana.
My dad has carried on doing our family history (after my late grand dad) and found that one of our ancestors escaped the UK and moved to Franklin in about 1840, his name was Timothy Bertenshaw. They carried on with a family trade when they moved there (felt and hat making) but then seemed to take up farming. There is a cemetery out there called Bertenshaw cemetery which we think or guess is/was on their land.
Some even older relatives moved out to America in the 1700's, but they went to the New Jersey area.
Any one know any Bertenshaw's (or Burtenshaws, burtonshaws, bertinshaws....same family.....different spellings) ??

    My God !
    You found Timothy too!
We were (well my relatives) from Droylsden in Manchester, and as you can see, thats were some of the "Brides" were from too.
So, there are still relatives living not too far away from where we settled.
Is Indiana a good or nice part of the US?
BTW Timothy was my Great Grandfather X 5's brother, so, the people still listed in Indiana are aproximately my 6th cousins, if they are the same step in generations as me (sorry If I sound daft, it makes sense to me)
These people were pioneers of that area then? Damn, and we ended up in rainny South Wales! Got the short straw I think.
    Thank you
Now I'm going to have to visit the place one day
