This holiday is supposed to honor the fallen. Those who can't accept a handshake or a pat on the back. Those who returned home to a 21 gun salute and not the hugs of loved ones. To everyone who died while serving their country I salute you. May your sacrifice never be forgotten.
As a former Navy man it does me good to see our Veterans celebrated but today isn't about us. It is about our fallen brothers and sisters. The whole Veteran's Day vs Memorial Day thing is a little pet peeve of mine, sorry.

Sorry, I guess I confused Veterns day and Memoral day. I am still thankfull to all who served and gave all so that I can sit and type this in MY house, on MY computer and for now shoot MY guns when ever I like. I vote for my president winner or not. and
Thanks to all and to the families that truely gave all.
