    What would be the punishment for such crimes? And since you mentioned that "in Europe" these things are true, is it some EU international law? Or does each country enforce them separately? I'm intrigued (and not irate one bit).

    Criminal law is not a competence of the EU, but each of its member states (cf. Law of the European Union - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).

    International law is something else entirely, cf. Criminal law - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
